Review of Lovely Pension - A Hidden Gem Along the CaminoDuring my recent stay at a charming family-run bed and breakfast near El Camino, I found a unique value proposition worth sharing. The pension, operated by the warm-hearted Manuel, caters to travelers seeking a comfortable retreat without excessive expense. It offers well-appointed rooms, including an upstairs suite with a lovely balcony and ample seating area, ensuring a restful stay after a day of hiking. What stood out to me were the shared facilities—tea and coffee stations along with a small kitchen available to guests. On the evening of my arrival, when nearby restaurants were closed, Manuel promptly informed us and kindly guided us to the local supermarket, allowing us to prepare a delightful tapas dinner together, adding a communal touch to our experience. While the accommodation is slightly off the main Camino route, it offers peace, quiet, and space, which is often lacking in more crowded pilgrim areas. For anyone considering a stay, I recommend planning meals in advance due to limited dining options. This lovely pension encapsulates the ideal balance of comfort and value—truly a treasure to discover while journeying along the Camino.
